Kova lives at app.kova8.com, and the app on your phone loads the same thing — so if one works, both work.
Use the Forgot password link on the login screen to get a reset e-mail. If it doesn't arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder first, then write to us — we can confirm which address your academy registered for you.
Players under 16 don't have their own login. Their account is managed by a parent, who signs in with their own e-mail and switches to the child from inside the app.
Your academy invites you. Kova is sold to academies, not to families directly, so your invitation comes by e-mail from the club your child already plays for.
If you know your academy uses Kova and no invitation has arrived, ask them to re-send it — a director or coach can do it in seconds. If you're not sure, write to us and we'll point you to the right person.
You can do it yourself, from inside Kova: Settings → Delete account. You'll be asked to type a confirmation word and re-enter your password, because this isn't undoable and an accidental tap shouldn't be enough.
What is removed: your login is permanently deleted — you will not be able to sign in again — and your personal details are scrubbed from the records that remain.
What is kept, and why: some records survive in pseudonymous form. Proof of parental consent has to outlive the account it covers, or we destroy the evidence that we were ever allowed to hold a child's data. Messages have two sides, so erasing one person's account cannot be allowed to erase a coach's or a parent's copy of a safeguarding-relevant conversation. This is a deliberate choice, and we'd rather explain it than hide it.
If you're the only director on an academy, Kova will stop you — an academy cannot be left with nobody able to administer it. Hand the role to someone else first.
Prefer not to do it in the app? Write to hello@kova8.com from the address on your account and we'll handle it.
Parents of players under 16 can see their child's messages and manage their account. Players aged 16 and over get their own login and their own privacy controls — a deliberate line, not an oversight.
To request a copy of your child's data, correct something that's wrong, or ask us to delete it, write to hello@kova8.com and say which academy and which player.
The details live in our Privacy Policy, Parental Consent and Media/Film Release. Our plain-language version is on the Promises page.
Kova includes an AI companion that talks with players about their own game. It is off by default and it never switches itself on. A parent has to opt in for each child, one child at a time, and turn it off again whenever they want from the parent portal.
It is a mirror, not a coach. It asks questions and helps a player put words to what they already know — it does not grade them, correct their technique, or tell them what to do. That's their coach's job, and we're careful about the line.
Every player always knows they're talking to an AI. Conversations are watched for signs of distress, and anything serious goes to the academy's designated Safeguarding Officer — a real adult. If an academy hasn't named one, the companion simply doesn't run.
If a child is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services first. We are a software company, not an emergency service.
Inside Kova you can block or report any user from the conversation itself. Reports go to your academy's staff, and an open report freezes that channel until a person has reviewed it.
To raise something with us directly, write to hello@kova8.com with "Safeguarding" in the subject line and we will prioritize it.
Kova is billed to the academy, not to families. If you're a parent paying fees through Kova, those payments go to your club — questions about amounts, refunds or schedules go to them.
Directors: plans and what's included are on the Pricing page. For anything about your own invoice, write to hello@kova8.com.
Write to us.
Tell us what you were trying to do, what happened instead, and which academy you're with. That's usually enough for us to fix it on the first reply.
